Club46 award

Wirehive100 award for 'Best Content Creation - Bridgestone Club46'

As well as wowing motorsport fans across Europe this summer, Bridgestone Europe’s Club46 campaign starring MotoGP™ legend Valentino Rossi won the ‘Best Content Creation’ award at this year’s Wirehive 100 Awards in the United Kingdom.

The Wirehive 100 award was granted to Bridgestone Club46 for delivering a ‘content-rich and highly-shareable campaign that engaged fans of all ages’. The award caps off a successful campaign in which the public was invited to take part in a number of online contests for their chance to win a host of exciting rewards, including an exclusive, all-expenses paid meeting with Valentino Rossi at a MotoGP race.

The award was received on behalf of Bridgestone Europe by its UK-based agency, HPS Group, who were responsible for the creation and delivery of Club46 complete with digital and social media content, two film features, a pan-European PR campaign and on-event activation at six European MotoGP rounds.

It wasn’t just the thousands of entrants around Europe who enjoyed participating in Bridgestone Club46, even the star attraction Valentino Rossi had fun getting involved: “I’ve enjoyed taking part in the Club46 campaign with Bridgestone and had a lot of fun making the promotional video earlier this year” Rossi said.

“It was a pleasure to personally greet the competition winners from all around Europe. I hope everyone who came to a MotoGP race and spent time with me had a good time. Thanks to all of my fans for getting involved!” added the nine-time World Champion.

Delighted at having the Bridgestone Club46 campaign receive the Wirehive 100 award for ‘Best Content Creation’, Jake Rønsholt, Managing Director of the  Consumer Business at Bridgestone Europe, said: “There is no better way to wrap up the Bridgestone Club46 campaign than by receiving this award. Both Bridgestone and Valentino Rossi have built their reputations in the world of motorsport by their winning performances on the track, so to win such an accolade away from the track is a fitting way to conclude the campaign. Thanks to the HPS Group for the successful delivery of this project.”

There could be more silverware on its way for Bridgestone Club46 as the campaign has also been nominated in the ‘Best Travel/Leisure/Sports Social Media Strategy/Campaign’ category at the upcoming SocialBuzz Awards on November 27.
