[Caution: Replacement of tyres with Bridgestone Support Ring on Toyota RAV4X]
The replacement of Bridgestone Support Ring tyres (reference 235/55R18 DUELER H/T 687) on the RAV4X requires specific equipment and training. These tyres are part of a new concept of run-flat function. In the initial phase, the complete assemblies need to be replaced by identical Bridgestone prefabricated assemblies. These prefabricated assemblies consist of a rim, Bridgestone Support Ring inside the tyre and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors. Before use, the TPMS must be initialised in order for their signal to be correctly monitored and interpreted by the onboard car computer in the case of a loss of pressure. To initialise the TPMS, specific software is required. Therefore, in the case of this vehicle and fitment, replacement should always be carried out by an Authorised Toyota Repair location.
