The tyres performed well at the 24-hour motorbike race in Le Mans last April, where the F.C.C. TSR Honda team from Japan took third place on the podium. Bridgestone wants to reaffirm its commitment to professional and amateur riders who share a passion for bikes and racing.
The stakes are high this year, for the first time, Bridgestone tyres will be competing at every race of the championship; the Bol d’Or, the Bol d’Argent, and the Bol Classic. Bridgestone is not just sending tyres; the company’s experts will be on hand to provide the teams with technical assistance. They will help the riders tune their bikes to get the best performance out of the tyres which have already shown their quality and are ready for the challenge of this new race.
The racing bikes will be fitted with the same Bridgestone tyres that are available to its customers (with the exception of Japanese team F.C.C. TSR Honda, which uses special racing tyres). The world leader in tyres is again proving that no compromise is tolerated when it comes to the performance of its tyres, so that its customers experience the same sensations as the racers.
Emotions are sure to be running high this year as the 80th Bol d’Or is the first leg of the 2016-2017 season of the Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC). Top riders will be coming to compete at the famous circuit in Castellet and an exciting weekend is guaranteed.
