Team FALCON RACING (left) and Team 24RACING (right) are fitted on off-the-shelf Bridgestone tyres.
Instead of the usual practice of preparing a special series race tyre with higher specifications for major professional events, Bridgestone is supplying off-the-shelf Battlax VO2 slicks and Battlax W01 rain tyres. The race tyres will therefore be identical to those sold through regular dealer channels to weekend race enthusiasts and other members of the general public. Bridgestone will also supply non-standard racing spec tyres to the Japanese F.C.C. TSR Honda team at Le Mans.
“Bridgestone always aims to give consumers the highest quality products. By entering our regular off-the-shelf Battlax tyres in one of the world’s top endurance races, Bridgestone hopes to show that it can give everyday riders the best possible performance” explains Nico Thuy, Head of Motorcycle department at Bridgestone Europe.
