Bridgestone has expanded its VSNT (V-Steel N-Traction) off-road tyre line-up with the introduction of a 4-star rated version: 35/65R33 VSNT 4*. The tyre has been specifically developed for underground haulage operations by today’s heavier shuttle trucks.
Underground applications are similar to surface operations but require smaller tyre sizes due to the constraints of tunnel dimensions. A higher load capacity per air volume is therefore needed, as provided by the VSNT 4* rating.
“Thanks to its ongoing global research and development programme, Bridgestone is able to provide its customers with the right product for the evolving needs of the industry” says Lothar Schmitt, Director Agricultural and Off-the-Road tyres at Bridgestone Europe.
As a main supplier to major OEMs, Bridgestone is in permanent contact with those on the leading edge of machinery development and industry requirements. Typical vehicles for the new high-load-capacity Bridgestone VSNT 4* include Caterpillar AD60, Atlas-Copco MT6020 and Sandvik TH663.
Bridgestone off-the-road (OTR) tyres are recognized for their quality and wide line-up which is able to meet all the requirements of customers worldwide in the mining, construction, highway services and port industries.
