Bridgestone Corporation announced today that it will donate 10 million yen to support relief efforts in the Philippines through the Japanese Red Cross Society. In addition, Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte., Ltd. (BSAP), the Company’s regional headquarters for the Asia Pacific region, will donate 50,000
Singapore dollars (approximately 3.9 million yen) to support relief efforts through the Singapore Red Cross Society.
Contributions by the Bridgestone Group companies to the typhoon relief effort reflect the companies' longstanding commitment to the Philippines. The Bridgestone Group has been selling tires in the Philippines since 1953, and also operates a manufacturing facility there that produces construction materials.
