Bridgestone plans a confident presence at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2012 fair in Hannover, Germany, from 20th to 27th September. The company will present its new Total Tyre Care programme offering fleets carefree tyre management through a flexible range of complementary truck tyre programmes.
“Fleet operators are battling costs every kilometer they drive. Our aim at IAA is to show them why Bridgestone’s Total Tyre Care is the best solution for maximizing fleet performance and controlling tyre-related costs” says Yves Kerstens, MD Commercial Business Unit, Bridgestone Europe.
The 301m², two-storey Bridgestone stand (Hall 16, Stand C01) presents the three pillars which support the Total Tyre Care programme:
Total Tyre Life: Bridgestone premium new tyres and Bandag retreads which maximize tyre life and reduce cost per kilometer.
Total Tyre Services: the component that keeps a fleet’s trucks running at maximum efficiency with maintenance, monitoring and assistance services from the Truck Point dealer network.
Total Tyre Systems: giving fleets clear visibility of their tyre conditions at all times via Bridgestone’s unique monitoring and tracking tools.
In product terms, stars of the show are the new Bridgestone Regional tyres, R-Steer 001 and R-Drive 001 - with enhanced versatility and performance, exhibited for the first time - and Bridgestone’s new-generation fuel-efficient ECOPIA H-STEER 001 and ECOPIA H-DRIVE 001 tyres with lower rolling resistance. Other highlights include a demonstration of Bridgestone’s exclusive TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) which uses sensors to improve fleet uptime and fuel efficiency.
The IAA trade fair for motor vehicles has been running in Germany for more than 100 years. Since 1991 it has been split into IAA Cars, held in Frankfurt in odd-numbered years, and IAA Commercial Vehicles held in Hanover in even-numbered years. IAA Commercial Vehicles is the world’s leading trade fair for mobility, transportation and logistics. More than 240,000 visitors attended IAA Commercial Vehicles 2010, 84% of whom were professionals from industry sectors.
