Bridgestone’s new premium touring tyre, Turanza T001, has been awarded the top “recommendable” rating by German’s renowned ADAC motoring organization.
New Turanza T001… “Recommendable” … “A very well balanced tyre, good in the wet” states ADAC in the report of its 2012 summer tyre test of leading brands, published in the ADAC Motorwelt magazine on 29th February 2012.
In the first magazine test of the new Bridgestone touring flagship, ADAC picks out the Turanza T001 (size 205/55 R16V) for its good all-round result and awards high notes for dry, wet, fuel consumption and wear performance. “Recommendable” is ADAC’s top rating in its revised 2011 protocol, replacing the previous “very recommendable” rating.
Austrian Automobile Club ÖAMTC and Swiss Automobile Club TCS also rates the Turanza T001 as “very recommendable”
Germany’s Auto Zeitung car magazine also included the Turanza T001 in its summer tyre test published on 7 March. In comparative tests of 8 leading tyre brands (size 185/60 R15H), Auto Zeitung also awards Turanza T001 its top rating of “Very recommendable”. “A very good start for the Turanza T001, convincing with good wet and very good dry performance”
“The new Turanza T001 is in two leading tyre tests, and it already achieves two top ratings!” says Tomio Fukuzumi, Director Consumer Products, Bridgestone Europe. “Turanza T001 is our most important touring product for the Original Equipment and replacement markets for the coming years”.
Bridgestone will officially launch the Turanza T001 in Europe at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show on 6th March. With its advanced tread design and materials technology, the tyre is designed to meet today’s new demands of safety and motoring efficiency, while offering the comfort of a top touring tyre. Incorporating Bridgestone’s patented NanoPro-Tech™ compound, the Turanza T001 strikes the perfect balance between low rolling resistance and top wet performance.
ADAC Motorwelt is the official publication of ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club), Germany’s largest automobile club; with 18 million readers, it is the country’s most read magazine.
