Three distinct zones on the 284 m² stand illustrate the company’s areas of product focus: reliable, ecological and innovative tyres.
On the left-hand side of the stand Bridgestone presents its eco-friendly Ecopia range, with a close-up on the compound technologies that make it possible.
Ecopia is an expanding line-up of premium tyres with low rolling resistance that reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, without compromising wet handling or other performance characteristics.
Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 tyres can be seen on the stand fitted to the Nissan LEAF, European Car of the Year 2011. The LEAF, the world’s first mass-produced electric car with zero tailpipe emissions, selected Bridgestone’s low-rolling-resistance Ecopia tyres as original equipment.
The tyre features Bridgestone’s patented NanoPro-Tech™ technology that lowers rolling resistance by reducing energy loss and heat build-up in the top compound during tyre rotation.
The innovative zone is where Bridgestone exhibits its dreams for the future. On display there is the Bridgestone “Half Weight” concept tyre: a futuristic solution in development for car manufacturers striving to meet severe new vehicle weight and fuel consumption targets.
Another exciting new technology on the stand is Bridgestone’s CAIS (Contact Area Information Sensing) system.
The first priority for Bridgestone is the safety of its tyres and those who use them. The right-hand side of the stand illustrates Bridgestone’s leadership in areas of reliability through Run-Flat Technology and the full Bridgestone range of winter tyres, now promoted through Bridgestone’s sponsorship of the majority of the events of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
Run-Flat Technology. On display is Bridgestone’s latest generation of Run-Flat Tyres which add the benefit of ride comfort to safety and convenience. The new Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT is also exhibited.
Full winter line-up. Bridgestone is a specialist in winter tyre technology and has developed a line-up that covers all types of winter conditions in all European regions: from wet and mild regions (Bridgestone A001 Weather Control) to west-central continental conditions (Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 and LM-80) and northern European conditions (Bridgestone Blizzak WS70).
Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. The DSV-branded Audi Q5 on the stand is fitted with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-80 tyres, drawing attention to the fact that Bridgestone becomes a main partner at 34 World Cup Alpine Ski events in 2011/2012. This sponsorship, which is part of an integrated Europe-wide approach to further strengthen Bridgestone’s growing winter tyre business, aims to make the link between high-performance winter sports and Bridgestone’s extensive range of premium winter tyre products.
