When the employee campaign was launched on March 15, Bridgestone Europe had announced that it would donate € 250,000 to help those who had been impacted by the disaster. The company also agreed that it would match employee donations from its subsidiaries across Europe.
Under the “GET UNITED” slogan an amount of € 153,606.63 was generously and spontaneously contributed by over 13,000 Bridgestone employees Europe-wide.
In total € 557,213.26 has been donated to the Japanese Red Cross Association to support the relief efforts.
Bridgestone Europe and all its employees would like to express their deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones.
They trust that being united will contribute to a quick recovery of affected Regions in Japan.
