New consumer oriented website launched for Firestone

Tyre manufacturer Bridgestone has produced a new European website for their Firestone brand, designed for maximum appeal to end users.

With its fresh and friendly feel combined with clear, easy navigation, the website reflects today’s brand image of Firestone in Europe: a reliable and trusted tyre that has earned the respect of private and commercial users for generations.

Dynamic presentation of full range

Visitors receive a dynamic helicopter view when they click open the site, panning across a motorway parking area backed by a lush green farming landscape. Vehicles in the scene reveal the full range of the Firestone line-up – from passenger car and commercial van tyres to agricultural products and truck tyres.

Clear and helpful information

Product information is provided via easy click-throughs, with more in-depth technical detail available for those who want it. Official tyre test results are presented prominently, giving consumers vital information for their buying decision.
A key application of the site is the Car Tyre Selector module which helps motorists select the right tyre for their vehicle via a simple dropdown menu.

User-friendly consumer approach

Behind the new site is Drupal, an open-source content management system chosen by thousands of organisations for its flexibility in powering and managing sites. The system will allow Firestone to update information regularly in-house.

“We designed this new Firestone website from the consumer point of view” says Jean-François Callier, Trade Marketing, Bridgestone Europe. “The content reflects what motorists want to find on a site and we provided the structure and flow to make their search as easy as possible.”
