Field Engineer

As a Field Engineer for off-the-road tires you provide support to the local Sales team and customers on technical issues and participate in development of new tires. You will be responsible for your product line on a European scope, with a main focus on the Central Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Your responsibilities will cover a broad number of activities and will include in any event the following:

  1. General product planning
    • Support BSEU lead with the local organization of ‘Product Power’ measurement based upon field evaluations of current products
    • Product power evaluations should include both objective & subjective measurement plus additional ‘voice of customer’ data collection
    • Collaboration with BSEU for analysis of customer requirements & development of harmonized strategies for both new products & product evolutions (Product Roadmap)
    • Organization and analysis of tire surveys at end user, fleet, dealers and scrap yards (Fleet, Count, Scrap tire)
    • Coordinate planning, implementation and analysis of various types of surveys (interview & measurement) at customer, fleets, tire dealer, scrap yards, etc.
    • Frequent control & reporting of product performance at key fleet customers
    • Collect & share in-field vision of competitor activity
  2. Test tire follow-up
    • Organize, follow up & analysis of test tires of serial, competitor and prototype test-tires, in line with BSEU road-map direction
  3. Quality management
    • Monitor product quality and correct operation of products. Coordinate with BSEU for countermeasure requirements in case of problems
    • Coordinate regional Quality Assurance Customer Service and Quality Assurance inspection
    • Report QA findings to Field Engineering department


Education (type & level) :

Master level degree in Engineering or a related technical field and/or equivalent work experience

Professional experience:

You can benefit from 3-4 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Automotive/Machine industry

Excellent English and German
