The company

Bridgestone Europe (BSEU) is a key regional subsidiary of Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer of tyres and other rubber products. Bridgestone Corporation and its subsidiaries employ over 140.000 people around the world, operate 184 plants in 25 nations and sell products in more than 150 countries. One in five vehicles in the world drives on the company’s tyres. "Serving Society with Superior Quality” has been our mission since Shojiro Ishibashi founded Bridgestone in 1931.
 
Our founder’s original vision and philosophy drives us to make life safer and more fulfilling for people everywhere. That means pursuing the highest quality in products, in service, in technology and in all our corporate activities.

Bridgestone Europe employs over 13.000 staff throughout Europe in:

  • 6 regional sales companies 
  • 9 tyre manufacturing plant (France, Italy, Poland, Hungary and Spain) each with a distribution centre
  • A major R&D and testing centre in Italy
  • A state-of-the-art Proving Ground (Italy) opened in 2004 and in Sweden (since 2009)
  • 3 European Logistics Centres: Zeebrugge (Belgium), Madrid (Spain) and Bor (Czech)
  • European headquarters in Brussels

  • All types of commercial, construction and Off-the-Road vehicles

  • Motorcycles and scooters

Sales

  • Bridgestone sales in Europe totalled 3.7 billion €  in 2011
  • With its leading tyre technology, the company is a major supplier of original equipment to all major car manufacturers: VW group, Ford group, BMW, Mercedes, General Motors, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota, Peugeot, Fiat group, and to Truck Manufacturers Mercedes, Renault, Volvo, Scania, MAN, DAF, Iveco)
  • Most of Bridgestone Europe’s sales come from the aftermarket, where tyres are sold through a network of distributors and dealers to end consumers
